Why not attend our FREE Martial Arts 101 class to experience all the disciplines we teach (Kung Fu / Kickboxing / Brazilian Jiu Jitsu / Mixed Martial Arts / Chinese Martial Arts / Self Defence - Goshin Jiu Jitsu) before joining us for a FREE taster session(s) of your martial art(s) of choice?
This one hour class will consist of a warm up session, physically trying out all the disciplines and ends with a cool down / stretching session.
Our next Martial Arts 101 class will take place on Monday, 2 December 2019 from 19:30 – 20:30 at Loddon Valley Leisure Centre and is suitable for adults and children (age 10+).
PS Please arrive in plenty of time, wear a tracksuit / shorts / leggings and t-shirt and bring a bottle of water.
Martial arts overview
The thinking man’s martial art consisting of patterns of movements based on animal fighting styles to deal with attacks from all directions. It contains all the components of Kickboxing and some from MMA.
Our Kung Fu classes includes Nunckuca, staff, short stick and knife defences weapons training.
You learn to box, then how to kick and then you include elbows and knees, followed by elements of Jiu Jitsu and finally self defence against knife attack.
Our Kickboxing classes also include weapons training.
BJJ works on the principle that a smaller, weaker person can potentially successfully defend against a bigger, stronger assailant. Sparring/rolling plays a major role in this discipline.
MMA combines a range of stand-up and ground fighting techniques and is an exciting way of getting fit and conditioning your body.
We teach a range of martial arts forms and styles, all who have multiple applications including self defence, stress relief by meditation, healing the body and defragging the mind, and more. The forms and styles range from Tai Chi to Chin Nai (joint control) San Shou (Chinese kickboxing).
Our Chinese Martial Arts classes also include weapons training.
Self Defence (Goshin Jiu Jitsu)
From break away training to single or multiple attackers, unarmed and armed with knife and stick. This system teaches you to play smart, be aware and use strategy - and when there's no option how to effectively incapacitate an attacker, preserve your life unharmed and escape to safety. Your learn techniques that are quick to pick up and apply.
